Dentistry

Staten Island University Hospital's Department of Dentistry, accredited by the American Dental Association since 1970, has expanded into a major teaching service and provides the wide range of services listed to the right.

The services are performed by both the active Attending Staff and the Dental Resident Staff. Eligible patients are those covered by Medicaid, the medically indigent, medically compromised, mentally retarded, and developmentally disabled patients. Others may be eligible: eligibility will be determined by an interview with the patient or caregiver.

In addition to routine services, the Department of Dentistry offers the following Special Care Services:
