We are currently seeking an experience Board Certified Physician Executive to lead the Medical Staff at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH). The Medical Director will be responsible for the standards and quality of medical care delivered to the patients of the hospital by members of the Medical and Dental Staff. The senior physician leader will work collaboratively with the Executive team and the Board of Trustees, to set overall goals and objectives for SIUH. With a focus on Quality Management, the Medical Directory will provide oversight for Quality, Risk, Graduate Medical Education, Medical Staff Affairs and all other strategic direction and program development necessary for the Hospital to realize its mission and goal of providing exceptional quality care. This Individual will provide leadership and vision for the excellence in clinical services, training, and disease management protocols across disciplines within both the in-patient and ambulatory network; assess quality improvement goals that will include the development of outcome measures; collaborate with senior leadership to further develop relationships with the community-based organizations building models to expand community outreach efforts and the patient referral base including the implementation of an electronic health record within the facility, and across out ambulatory sites; and support and facilitate the integration of quality and Patient Centered Care throughout SIUH.
