Dr. Kristine Krol
In her years of practice, Dr. Krol has admitted very few asthma patients to the hospital. She modestly credits her success to the extra educational attention she gives. Here, patients learn new methods of controlling their symptoms so that they can live, as much as possible, without the unpleasantness of aggravated allergies.
Dr. Krol has an extensive medical background beginning with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from St. John's University. She then received her medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Health Sciences Center. Her clinical training includes an internal medicine residency at Staten Island Hospital, where she served for a year as Chief Resident. Dr. Krol did her allergy and immunology fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Krol is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in allergy and immunology. She holds the post of Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn. In addition, Dr. Krol is Director of the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Staten Island University Hospital, where she teaches her innovative treatment approach to medical students and residents.
