Selection of Residents

Only applicants who are or will be certified for graduation from an ADA-accredited dental school and eligible for a limited permit in New York State may be considered for acceptance to this program. Selection is based on evidence of the applicant's interest and ability to benefit from advanced training in general dentistry.

The applicant's academic record, faculty recommendations, extracurricular activities and impressions of the admissions committee during the personal interview are important factors in our final decisions.

Selections are sent to and finally made through the National Residency Matching Program. The department participates in the PASS Program.
