Medical Weight Loss Program - Frequently Asked Questions

What does the medically supervised weight loss program consist of?

Our multidisciplinary team will personalize a weight loss program utilizing a combination of dietary management, behavior modification and medication to assist you in weight reduction. We will provide a safe, effective weight loss strategy to help you achieve your goals.

Will my health insurance cover medical weight loss or a medically supervised weight loss program?

Most insurance companies will cover medically supervised weight loss programs if the employer has elected the benefit for their employees. Medically supervised weight loss programs fall under the category of Preventative Medicine. Our insurance coordinator will work with you to ensure that you have the appropriate coverage.

Which treatment plan is best for me?

Our comprehensive team will evaluate your medical history, as well as take into account your goals for weight loss and your lifestyle to determine which treatment plan is best for you.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Weight loss will vary depending on your starting weight, how long you stay on the program, and adherence to program guidelines during treatment. Remember that weight maintenance is a lifelong commitment; you will need to continue following the maintenance guidelines for the rest of your life in order to maintain your weight loss.

Will I have to take medication for weight loss?

While we do offer FDA-approved weight loss medications as part of our treatment plan, taking them is not mandatory. Depending on your medical history, they might be presented as an option for treatment. However, we tailor our treatment plans to suit what’s comfortable for you, our patient.

How do I get started?

The first step is completing the application. Once your completed application is received and reviewed by our team, we will contact you to schedule your personal consultation.
