Nachum Katlowitz, MD

Dr. Nachum
Katlowitz began his career at Staten Island University Hospital in 1990 when he was appointed Director of Male Sexual Dysfunction and Male Infertility, a position that he still holds. In 2003, Dr.
Katlowitz was named Director of Urology at
SIUH.
He received his Bachelors Degree from Brooklyn College, and went on to earn his Medical Degree in 1981 at Cornell University Medical School in Manhattan. Dr. Katlowitz completed residencies in general surgery and urology at the
Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He is Board Certified in Urology.
Following Dr. Katlowitz's residencies, he worked as Assistant to the Director of Urology at
Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. In 1990, he undertook fellowship training in impotency and male infertility at
Cabrini Medical Center/
NYU Medical Center in Manhattan. The next year, Dr.
Katlowitz was appointed Physician in Charge of Male Reproductive Medicine and Impotency at
Cabrini and also was named Director of Male Sexual Dysfunction and Male Infertility at
Maimonides.
He has lectured and presented his work both nationally and abroad and has provided commentary to various news media outlets.
Dr. Katlowitz specializes in male infertility, erectile dysfunction and microsurgery. He has also done extensive work using
precutaneous
nephrolithotomy (PNL) as a
treament for large kidney stones.
