In 2011, Dr. Vance Moss became the newest addition to Staten Island University Hospital's esteemed team of urologic surgeons.
Dr. Moss received his Bachelors Degree in 1994 from Pennsylvania State University; he received his Medical Degree from
Temple University School of Medicine in 1998.
He completed two years of surgical training followed by four years of urologic and genitourinary surgical training at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center.
Upon completing his residency in 2004, Dr. Moss commenced a two-and-a-half year fellowship in renal transplantation at SUNY at Stony Brook Medical Center.
While still in residency, Dr. Moss and his twin brother, Vince, a cardiothoracic surgeon, volunteered to serve in the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps. The brothers treated wounded soldiers and civilians in war-ravaged Afghanistan and Iraq as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
