Dr. Alfred T Culliford IV completed his undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University and earned his medical degree with honors from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Culliford completed a five-year general surgery residency at New York University and graduated with distinction in research. He also completed a two-year research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He then completed a three-year fellowship at the internationally renowned Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Culliford is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Culliford's interests have centered on acute and chronic complex wounds, hand surgery, breast surgery, oncologic reconstruction, body contour surgery, and cosmetic surgery. He has numerous publications to his credit in journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery, and the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. He is a contributing author to the plastic surgery texts Current Therapy in Plastic Surgery and Grabb & Smith's Plastic Surgery. Dr. Culliford has presented his work at numerous national and local meetings.
