Jonathan Deitch MD FACS Associate Chairman of Surgery
Chief, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Director, Vascular Fellowship and Non invasive Laboratory Testing

Dr. Jonathan Deitch is an Alpha Omega Alpha honor society graduate of New York Medical College. His surgical residency was completed at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, where he received the Leo Davidoff teaching award.

He performed subspecialty training at Wake Forest Medical Center, North Carolina, where he was exposed to a wide variety of complex aortic and aortic branch pathology, and was then recruited to participate in an endovascular subspecialty fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Deitch has served as the Chief of Vascular Surgery at SUNY Downstate and Chief of Vascular Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.

He is a member of most of the major vascular societies including the Society for Vascular Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society, Eastern Vascular Surgical Society, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Southern Association of Vascular Surgery and New York Vascular Surgical Society, where he functions as

an executive council member. He serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Surgery and is on the editorial board for The Open Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Journal. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented both regionally and nationally.

Dr. Deitch has a clinical interest in aortic pathology, aortic branch and carotid disease. He brings a wealth of experience in the minimally invasive treatment of abdominal and thoracic aneurysms and has significant experience in the field of carotid artery angioplasty and stenting in addition to conventional surgery. He routinely performs minimally invasive procedures for limb salvage. He has trained a large number of surgical residents and fellows in programs throughout New York City. Dr. Deitch has been recognized as a New York Top Doctor as well as one of New York Time Magazine, Super Doctors®.

Jonathan Schor MD
Associate Program Director, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery / Suny Downstate Medical Center

Dr. Schor received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at New York University Medical Center. He then went on to a fellowship in vascular surgery at UMDNJ/New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.

Dr. Schor is Board Certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Schor has participated in clinical research on the effects of radiation on carotid stent durability and has participated in a number of clinical trials for various vascular devices. Dr. Schor has presented his research at both local and national conferences. He has a special interest in endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms and peripheral vascular disease. He is also interested in the treatment of carotid artery disease and the treatment of venous disorders.

Kuldeep Singh, MD, RPVI

After completion of his general surgery residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Singh received the nationally renowned Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for teaching and humanism. He performed one year of training in open heart and aortic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, prior to completing a vascular and endovascular fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital.

He has participated in numerous clinical research projects and has published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Singh has presented his work locally and nationally. His clinical interests include open and endovascular aortic surgery, surgical correction of carotid disease and the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease and non-invasive vascular laboratory testing.

Dr. Singh is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI). He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Singh can be reached at (718) 226-6800.

John A. D'Anna, MD, MPH, FACS
Associate Program Director, General Surgery Residency Program
Director of Surgical Services, South Division

Dr. John D'Anna has practiced General and Vascular Surgery on Staten Island since 1983, and has served the Hospital in numerous key administrative and clinical capacities during his tenure, including his election to membership on the Hospital's Medical Executive Committee in 1991, and his role as President of the Medical Staff from 1997-1999.

Dr. D'Anna received a gubernatorial appointment to the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct in 1988, and has since served continuously on that board. He was the President of the Richmond County Medical Society from 1992-1993, and has served on the boards of the American Cancer Society, Staten Island Heart Society, and Snug Harbor Cultural Center. Both the DaVinci Society of Wagner College and the Staten Island Heart Society have honored him for his service to the community.

Dr. D'Anna received his Medical Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and his MPH in Health Services Management from Columbia University in New York City. He is the author or co-author of multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals, as is consistently selected as one of the top doctors in the metropolitan area by the Castle Connolly Guide. He is listed in Who's Who in America for his achievements.

Dr. D'Anna is been a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York, the New York Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Eastern Vascular Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
