    Physician Bio

    Dr. Walled completed his fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in cardiac imaging.

    He trained at Yale in nuclear medicine and in diagnostic radiology as well. He is a strong complement to our department which has built a cardiac imaging program in the past few years.

    Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Walled came to the east coast in 2001 to attend Yale Medical School. He lived in New Haven for more than 10 years, completing a combined medical and surgical internship, as well as his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Yale- New Haven Hospital.

    Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2011, Dr. Walled joined Staten Island University in 2012 to help develop and further expand our burgeoning cardiac imaging program. Dr. Walled has completed fellowship training in Cardiac MRI at Yale- New Haven hospital. He further serves our faculty by drawing upon specialty training acquired in Nuclear Medicine and body imaging while at Yale.

    Dr. Walled is a member of the Society for Cardiac Magnetic Resonance and the Society of Nuclear Medicine. He is currently interested in researching the imaging of cardiac motion as an indicator of underlying disease Dr. Walled has a great passion for teaching residents and developing reproducible educational resources for the radiologists of tomorrow.
