    Physician Bio

    Dr. Afthinos received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He completed his general surgery residency and minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Afthinos is Board Certified in General Surgery and holds memberships in the Society for Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
