Dr. D'Anna has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals and has delivered many invited lectures. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical School and a Founding Member of the Richmond County Academy of Medicine. Dr. D'Anna has been a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York, the New York Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Eastern Vascular Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. D'Anna has been practicing in General/Vascular surgery on Staten Island since 1983. He received his Medial Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and his MPH Degree from Columbia University in New York City. He completed his General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. He was appointed, by the governor, in the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct in 1991 and has served on that board since then. He was President of the Richmond County Medical Society (1992-1993) and President of Staten Island University Hospital Medical Staff (1997-1999).
