    Physician Bio

    Dr. Yolanda Tammaro is a board certified Breast Surgeon at the Florina Rusi-Marke Comprehensive Breast Center at Staten Island University Hospital. Her diversified expertise includes all areas of benign and malignant breast disorders. She performs all leading edge surgical techniques including nipple-sparing and areola sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction. Dr. Tammaro is committed to each of her patients and devoted to provide each patient with an individual treatment care plan. She works in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of Radiologists, Medical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist, Plastic Surgeons and all other breast cancer support staff members.

    Dr. Yolanda Tammaro is a board certified Breast Surgeon at the Florina Rusi-Marke Comprehensive Breast Center and is a native resident of Staten Island. She received her surgical training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and went onto a

    fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Texas. As a committed educator and teacher, Dr. Tammaro brings a wealth of experience to Staten Island University Hospital. She has and continues to focus her clinical research on neoadjuvant therapies, partial breast radiation and has published several projects. Dr. Tammaro is involved with community awareness and outreach. She is devoted to provide the most compassionate and quality care using the state of the art treatment options for all her patients.
