Learn how to stay healthy at annual Wellness Expo in Bloomfield

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The third annual Wellness Expo will be held Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield.
Cynara Coomer, chief of Breast Surgery and director of The Comprehensive Breast Center at Staten Island University Hospital, will be among the speakers at this year's Wellness Expo.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by City Councilman James Oddo, Staten Island University Hospital and the Staten Island Economic Development Corp.
The expo will offer free health tests and screenings on site, including blood pressure, PSA screenings, mammograms, hearing exams, HIV, hepatitis and diabetes screenings, metabolic syndrome screening and screenings for peripheral artery disease. All exams are on a first-come, first-served basis, except mammograms which must be scheduled in advance.
This year's keynote speakers include Cynara Coomer, chief of Breast Surgery and director of The Comprehensive Breast Center at SIUH and a Fox News medical contributer, and Todt Hill's Alfredo (Frado) Dinten, from NBC's "The Biggest Loser."
The first people to call the SIEDC at 718-477-1400 and register for any of the keynote speaking sessions will be entered into two grand raffle drawings to win a two-day overnight spa package at Harrah's Resort and Spa in Atlantic City.
Free healthy activities on tap include: an on-site greenmarket and healthy cooking demonstrations; fitness demonstrations; physical mobility and stability testing, and chair massages and skin care demonstrations.
