Autism Seminar to be held at SIUH on May 15

Parents and caregivers are invited to learn more about Asperger’s and where it fits in the Autism Spectrum as Staten Island NAMI and Staten Island University Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Science present a FREE seminar:

“Autism Spectrum Disorders with a focus on Asperger’s”
Tuesday, May 15, 6-8pm
Regina M. McGinn, MD, Education Center
Staten Island University Hospital North Site
475 Seaview Avenue

Because Asperger’s Syndrome is more symptomatically subtle than other forms of autism, parents often feel challenged in seeking understanding for their child and in resourcing community-based services.

During Tuesday’s two-hour discussion, a panel of behavioral and child development experts, school psychologists, parents and an attorney will provide information and advice.
