Seven 'inspiring' Staten Island women honored at Soroptimist awards luncheon

Seven outstanding women were honored Sunday at the 32nd annual Awards Luncheon of Soroptimist International of Staten Island at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield.

"This is our big signature event," said Janet Warren Dugo, president-elect of the borough's Soroptimist group, which was founded in 1955 and is part of the worldwide Soroptimist volunteer organization of business and professional women working to improve the lives of women and girls locally and overseas.
