Breastfeeding Mothers' Bill of Rights

Choosing the method of feeding a new baby is one of the important decisions a mother can make in preparing for childbirth. Experts agree that breastfeeding is the safest and healthiest choice for mothers and infants. New York State recently passed The Breastfeeding Mothers' Bill of Rights. This legislation encourages health care providers and hospitals to enact practices that promote and support breastfeeding before during and after delivery.
