Staten Island University Hospital honored its long-time president and CEO, Anthony C. Ferreri at its 132nd annual Charity Ball. Recently announced Executive Director for the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Southwest Region, Ferreri ‘s tenure as CEO began in 2003, and was at the hospital’s helm for the construction of a 40,000 square foot Emergency and Trauma Center, Medical Education Center, and most recently, a new Comprehensive Breast Center. At the event held on April 26, 2014, a local charity, Kids Against Cancer pledged $1 million to the construction of a new pediatric cancer center at SIUH. April 26th was also proclaimed, “Anthony C. Ferreri Day” on Staten Island, by Borough President, James Oddo.
