The Department of General Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital, an affiliate of the North Shore / LIJ Health System, has expanded the Physician Assistant's responsibilities. We are currently looking for self motivated, enthusiastic PA's to learn all aspects of General Surgery and Surgical Subspecialties. Staten Island University Hospital is a level one trauma center and maintains a free standing General Surgery Residency Program. In house on - call is required, (3-4 / month). Trauma Surgeon
STATEN ISLAND UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Trauma / Critical Care / Acute Care Surgery Opportunity Staten Island University Hospital is seeking a fellowship trained Trauma/Critical Care Surgeon to join their group located in New York City’s 5th and fastest growing borough. This is an opportunity to join a multi-specialty group that sees over 600 trauma admissions per year. This is a unique opportunity to blend a clinical and academic lifestyle, as the Department of Surgery has an independent residency program with 3 categorical residents each year. This position requires trauma call, trauma inpatient coverage, surgical critical care rotation, acute surgical consult service and elective surgical practice. Founded in 1861, Staten Island University Hospital today is a member of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, and enjoys numerous academic and clinical affiliations and accreditations. EKG Technician/Cardiology
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited EKG School or course and EKG Certification required. A minimum of one year experience as an EKG Technician in a hospital or doctor's office required. This is a Per Diem position. RN/LMSW Coordinator (P/T)
Coordinator/Parkinson's Disease. Part-time, grant funded position. NYS RN License or NYS LMSW required. One year experience coordinating community related programs; program development skills required. 3-5 years experience in Neurology or Gerontology preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to a variety of locations on Staten Island and Brooklyn for programs conducted at sites outside the hospital required. This a Part-Time position (18.75 hours per week - variable days). Ambulatory Coding Supervisor/HIM (North)
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Science, RHIA, RHIT or a Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred. Coding education required either through a coding course or achievement of coding credentials. Work requires 3-5 years in HIM and strong outpatient coding experience preferred. Ability to travel to the South Site and all SIUH Ambulatory Sites. EHS LIAISON (LPN)
Employee Health Services - Union Free. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program with NYS Licensure required. Experience in an outpatient setting with the ability to give immunizations, take vital signs, etc. required. Employee health experience and some college courses preferred. Position also requires excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills.
