Who Qualifies as a Hospice Patient?

Patients with a medical prognosis of six months or less, as certified by their physician, and who are no longer receiving curative or experimental treatment, qualify for Hospice. These patients include, but are not limited to, those having diagnoses such as cancer, AIDS, end stage lung disease, hepatic, renal, cardiac or neurological diseases.
