Medical Research Library

The Medical Research Library is located at the hospital's North Campus at 475 Seaview Avenue, on the first floor in room 1-1-23. It is staffed Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, but is accessible to hospital staff 24 hours a day with their hospital identification badge.

Collection:
The Medical Library has approximately 500 journal subscriptions, several hundred of the latest textbooks in all of the areas of medicine, Audio-Digest tapes in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Surgery and Family Practice, and CD-ROM resources available on all computers. Several Internet research tools are also accessible to hospital staff (see Library Research Links). We also have two TV/VCRs for use in the Library.

Hospital staff may use the Library at any time, although copier services are only available during staffed hours. Journals never circulate, but texts may be signed out based on title. Computer services are available 24 hours a day.

Anyone from the community is welcome to use the Library, but must come during normal staffed hours and call first -- 226-9545 -- for an appointment with a librarian. Nothing may be signed out of the library, and the copier charge is 10 cents a page. We do not allow the community to use the Internet, but will do an Internet search for you.
