Dr. David C. Hoffman

Dr. David C. Hoffman is a graduate of NYU Dental School and completed his oral and maxillofacial training at the University of Texas Parkland Memorial Hospital. He is the director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital, where he is also the director of the Cleft Lip and Palate Center. In addition, he is a clinical associate professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, where he directs the Continuing Education Programs on temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery. Complimenting his interests in orthognathic and reconstructive surgery, he is a member of the American Society of TMJ Surgeons and has been program chairman for the International Association of TMJ Arthroscopic Surgeons. Dr. Hoffman is especially interested in treating cleft lip and palate deformities, and he is co-director of Missions Abroad Programs for Healing the Children-Northeast, Inc., a charitable organization that specializes in cleft lip and palate and facial reconstructive surgery for children of Third World countries.
