Director, Pediatric Pulmonology

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology of Staten Island University Hospital is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, advanced diagnosis, treatment and follow up management for children with a wide spectrum of respiratory diseases. Our program provides care to children from Staten Island and adjacent metropolitan areas.

The services provided includes fiberoptic laryngoscopy and bronchoscopy, testing and follow up of infant apnea, sleep studies for obstructive apnea, spirometry and pulmonary function testing for young children, and evaluation of children with chronic cough, recurrent pneumonia, chest pain and shortness of breath. A comprehensive evaluation, counseling and management asthma program is available for children with asthma and allergic respiratory diseases. Long-term care is provided for children with chronic bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sickle cell lung disease and tuberculosis.

The Director of the Division, Dr. Siu-Pun Chan, received his training in Pediatric Pulmonology at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center and is Board Certificied in Pulmonology.
