Armen Kasabian, M.D.

Director, Plastic, Reconstructive and

Hand Surgery

Dr. Kasabian completed his undergraduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earned his medical degree from Cornell University School of Medicine, and completed residency training in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery at New York University Medical Center (NYU).

Dr. Kasabian received appointment as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at NYU and as Chief of Microsurgery at NYU-Bellevue Medical Center. He is the former Associate Director of Plastic Surgery at Bellevue Hospital and head of the Bellevue Microsurgical Replantation Team. The doctor is currently the Chairman if the Replantation Committee of the Fire Department of New York. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and in Plastic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery.

Dr. Kasabian brings with him expertise in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery, and has numerous publications to his credit. His goal is to develop Centers of Excellence at Staten Island University Hospital in the fields of Cosmetic Surgery, Breast Surgery, Reconstruction Surgery, as well as in Hand and Microsurgery.

Alfred T. Culliford, IV, M.D.

Plastic, Reconstructive and

Hand Surgery

Dr. Alfred T Culliford IV completed his undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University and earned his medical degree with honors from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Culliford completed a five-year general surgery residency at New York University and graduated with distinction in research. He also completed a two-year research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He then completed a three-year fellowship at the internationally renowned Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Culliford is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Culliford’s interests have centered on acute and chronic complex wounds, hand surgery, breast surgery, oncologic reconstruction, body contour surgery, and cosmetic surgery. He has numerous publications to his credit in journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery, and the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. He is a contributing author to the plastic surgery texts Current Therapy in Plastic Surgery and Grabb & Smith’s Plastic Surgery. Dr. Culliford has presented his work at numerous national and local meetings.
